Lisbon received a «Progressive Economy» Conference about «Competitiveness and Cohesion in the Eurozone»

Louka Katseli, professeur of Economics in Athens University, former Minister  of Economy, Competitiveness and Shipping of Greece Government (October 2009 - September of 2010) have an emotionant intervention in the Conference, deeply felt by participants that gave to her a great ovation:
- «Socialists lost credibility» because «are socialists in opposition and liberals» in the position!
- The problem is the values
- «Eurozone is a club of creditors»
- «The front loading» and the change between public assets and debt have a goal: the quickly payment of debts to banks
- «Greek debt is unsustainable»
- European courts control debt
- «Private debt are changed in public debt»
- Europe must mutualize risks and implement financial innovations
- «Only labour market reforms are implemented»
- «Over pricing» solve fiscal diferences between countries

Stefano Fassina, Italian Minister  of Economy, said that crysis is systemic and we don´t see at the moment an assumption of errors from European authorities, only from IMF.

Valeriano Gomez, former Spanish Minister of Labour and Emigration talk about the non sense of austerity policies.

Eurico Brilhante Dias, National Secretary for Economic Affairs of Partido Socialista (Portugal) took about the variable time for Portuguese Goverment in it political options: front loading become a great disaster! Socialist Party proposed graduality, more time to adjustment and enphasis at the begining in growing and employment by support to companies.

António José Seguro, leader of Partido Socialista, said that Portuguese Government don´t have credibility and that elections are the best way to Portuguese Persons decide about a new Goverment with credibility to solve problems of Portugal with the support of new economic policies in Europe.
